I was considering a US model (the DV-5050M is the equivalent to the
one that I was looking at) but I would still need to get it modded
for multi-region as my collection is about 60:40 in favour of region
1. Another option is of course to buy a region 1 and a region 2 as
they can be daisy chained, but that would certainly blow the budget
and it still leaves me with the problem of not being able to source
the region 2 unit.

All in all this is a very disappointing state of affairs, it seems
that big dvd changers are just being dropped from the UK market
completely (we have still seen nothing on the latest Sony model and
the previous one was cut over a year ago).

Looks like the only option now is ripping all my dvds to HD....now
where did I put all those 320Gb disks?
