RE: THX and music replay...

Phil,

You spent the whole message ranting about how THX would add to the cost wit= hout adding to the quality. The whole thrust of your original message was t= hat for =A3X you could have a product that EITHER spent its money on certif= ication or quality.

This is a point that I DISAGREE WITH.

I think that THX _is_ a valuable thing, both in the market as a whole, and = in ensuring a certain quality standard for a large number of products.

It doesn't substitute for listening, but neither of us have claimed that...= on that, at least, we agree ;-)

It's not that I've had a sense of humour failure - it's that I DISAGREE WIT= H YOU.

You seem to have taken a disagreement with your views as an attack on you p= ersonally - I'd not intended that, and apologise if that's the way it came = over.

Mark

Oh FFS!

Mark,

THX certification in itself does not guarantee a quality result
therefore it is not essential for a product to have THX certification to be of a good quality.

In that respect taking THX certification in itself as a guarantee of
quality is a pile of steaming horse bollocks - or have you completely
lost your capacity for having a sense of humour when someone uses a
flippant comment?

Phil
