You don't need to run XP, 2K has the offline file sync built in. It 
works as long as the files are stored on a 2K share - eg you can't sync
files that live on a Novell server (well, not in the 5 mins look I gave
it before just putting the files on a 2K box....!)  obviously XP makes
everything nicer though :D
