There is actually a HP product which is effectively a dedicated purpose
PC that we localised (translated) the software for at my old company but
I can't remember what it was called off hand.

What is was though was a PC that trawled across your network at
configurable times and detected any PC's or laptops that were connected
to it and either did an incremental backup of any shared folders or an
incremental backup of the entire HD if the other machine was running the
HP client app.
