Hi Neil,

recapping what I remember from the VIOM spec, then ISTR it is indeed
possible to link one of the VIOM's outputs to one of its inputs, such that
when an input is operated a corresponding output is operated. Also, IIRC
the
output operation is pretty highly configurable in terms of the duration,
the
delay etc...

Taking this a step further, it should therefore be possible to graft a VIOM
directly onto a piece of kit, so the the VIOM outputs operate certain
functions directly... - you could try to graft it directly onto the source
components, or perhaps it would be less risky to graft it onto a cheap URC
so that the VIOM "presses" the buttons on the remote to operate
the kit...
