Now back on the air.

According to the local news it was a power failure.

You would have thought that they would have standby generators !

Maybe they did but it was only enough to run R1,R2,R3,R4 and Digital.

The four main terrestrial channels are 250kW and Five is a 4kW
transmitter
so that is over a megawatt of generator needed.

Well BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Channel 4, FIVE

and Radio Norfolk is off the air as well.

Digital Terrestrial seems to be working as do Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio 3
and
Radio 4.

Based on the number of trees I have seen down across the roads today
and
fences, walls, roofs and tiles strewn everywhere, me thinks something
VERY
serious has happened to the transmitter at Tacolneston :-(

Its been off for several hours now.
