Showshifter can....
Control sky and ntl digiboxes with redrat2 or
some
other hardware I can't remember. Support is builtinto last 3-4
versions
Be controlled by infra red. Either standalone
systems, Girder supported systems, X-10 controllers if you play with
girder, or
a bundled Hauppauge wintv remote if you got one with your
card.
Capture Losslessly if you have fast enough HD

My showshifter box is silent as the drives are
inside noise suppressors, I have a quiet power supply and a zalman flower
cooler
on the processor.
The only thing I want to make my tivo killer
comlete is....
A nice tivo looking box..
