Fair enough, it's just my local (but quite new) one that don't have Cat5 stuff
then (Colchester).

It was just a Sunday morning distress purchase that I had to give up on in the
end, but Screwfix got the order, so Kingfisher still get the money in the end
;-)

Indeed, the B&Q warehouses have a reasonable range in stock (at least,
Coventry does)

In fact I seem to remember the prices being less than Screwfix for such
things as patch panels...

Peter,

They do sell it on the web, and at some of the larger stores.

It's still a trial range at the moment, so not in that many stores.

Whilst we're on the subject of ranting about B&Q (constructively, of course
Mark....), why do they not sell any Cat5/datacomms gear?  I'd have though
that
the sales of this stuff have gone up significantly over the past couple of
years
(as evidenced by Screwfix now selling it), but the chappy at my local B&Q
said
that all they sell is phone cable....

Or, you could call the B&Q helpdesk, and ask THEM to phone around on your
behalf to tell you which stores have them in stock!
