Ah! Is this why your service is always so good?

I seem to have missed one or two prior postings on this thread. If "they"
means overclockers.co.uk, I have to say that our first (and last) buying
experience with them have been awful.

We placed an order for a motherboard and a P4 combo package. The order was
accepted on the web fine. Then we discovered that the motherboard requires
DDR RAM so I thought I'll simply call them and add the DDR to the order.
The "Sales" line was answered within 10 seconds but then I was transferred
to "Customer Services" and was left in the queue that was playing a
repetitive message. I gave up after half an hour of waiting and called the
Sales number again. This time, I made the point of explaining that I
didn't want any customer services but merely wanted to add 256M of DDR RAM
to our order and I mentioned the unacceptably long wait in the queue last
time. The person said that only customer services could change the order
and promptly transferred me back to the same queue again. I waited for ten
minutes before slamming the phone down in disgust.

I have sent an e-mail to their customer services dept and to one of the
directors but I have yet to receive a reply or acknowledgment. To cap it
all, the stuff ordered on Thursday afternoon didn't get delivered until
Monday, contrary to their next business day promise.

All in all, we won't be buying from them again.
