I guess there are two issues here
I can log on to my mailbox across the network or web via VPN and have
multiple instances of the mailbox open
I tend to work off line with each copy of outlook re-syncing every 5 mins
Where the problem lies is with the separate PST files
Only one opening at a time
To get over this problem I filesync my separate copies of the local PST
files. This isn't a problem because I only use these for archive

Phil, Andy was originally replying to the email that suggested accessing PST files across the network was a bad idea generally, not anything to
do whether the file was open or not. That's a whole separate discussion!
