Mail server for home use?

Anyone got any thoughts on a decent mail server for home use? My
requirements are:

1) central mail/calendar/notes/contacts store so that I can view on
any connected client (Fuji, PC, Laptop, iPaq, fridge, toaster! etc)
2) Doesn't cost the earth (like Exchange)
3) Can retrieve mail from POP3 and HTTP (Hotmail)
4) Supports multiple accounts/users
5) Potential integration with apps such as ACE, HV, HAL etc (not
really sure about this but I guess as a minimum it needs to save
contacts in a form useable by other apps)

I've used NTMail and Exchange (a little) before. Thinking about it -
is Outlook capable of doing any/all of this on it's own?

Many thanks,

Paul.
