Hi,
No, the folks are Irish, just planning on retiring to NZ, they bought a
house recently, but they are only here on holiday visas until they sort
their finances/tax situation out.
NZ Immigration works on a points system, if you have enough points you get
in.
We managed to get the exact pass mark without a job, so we were approved in
less than 4 weeks.
If you are short of the passmark, they will issue you a visa to allow you
to
come over to look for work, assuming that if you have a job offer, you
would
then meet or exceed the passmark.
