Rather than spending the money a couple of ideas spring to mind:
i. The displayserver hack?
ii. VNC? Theres references to VNC control of the dell unit on the
rioreceiver.comms.net board.
iii. Wait for me to complete the windows hack for my pronto software ;-)
iv. Take the displayserver servlet apart, work out the links into the
player
(which is almost definitely done over a socket connection using a simple
protocol) and then write your own command line utility in java.
Im happy to work on iii and for that matter id quite like to start
thinking
about iv so I can use mine for an alarm clock.
