That's
the whole point of SNMP, so we don't have to put AP next to server. USB
cables
are usually 1.5 - 2 m.
So, we
don't have much progress here.
I
followed Stuart instructions and now my SNMP config can connect to AP and
see
settings, but I cannot change anything.
Let's
see what will Linksys say...

Okay now I am even more
confused..........
I re booted my workstation#2(WS2) (the one with
the
USB connection to the WAP11) to look at the WAP11's settings and the
laptop
connected satisfactorily...........
I have now shut down the WS2
and
the connection has gone again!
Does this mean I have to have the WAP
USB connection permanently connected to a working PC?
It says in
the
notes the USB is only there for configuration of the WAP11 which is why
I
want to use SNMP as my server does not have USB
ports.
