He could just be a HTML <SAD GIT> in which case, an end tag is not
required
- and IE will probably interpret it correctly anyway :-)

If he is an XML <GIT> then <GIT type="SAD" /> is
perfectly acceptable :-D

(and I was wondering when someone would get around to changing the subject
line)
