The only time I have had problems with LW10's is when I had them connected to Halogen lights.  The LW10 would work fine for a few days then the fuse would blow. Like most people I have had no real reliability problems with them.

Hi,

My home automation didn't start well. I replaced, for a start, two wall switches with dimmers LW10G from Laser, one in bedroom and the other in living room. I also have TM13U and HR10 for remote controling via RF. Everything worked fine for a while, but a couple of days ago, something sparked indide dimmer when I tried to switch the light in bedroom. I checked, and the fuse was blown. Then I bought a new fuses, but as soon as I replaced it, the circuit fuse went off. I took the LW10 out and I found big black smelly patch on the CCB and, what looks to me like some transistor melted. It is not a nice experience when fuse blows under your fingers.

Unfortunatelly, my SWMBO was present when it happened and now she is afraid using her bedside lamp in fear that it will explode (I plugged it into Lamp Module).

I hope that Li will replace it without problems, but I would like to know why it happened. Few people told me on this group that they are using lots of LW10s and that they are very reliable, but I have just two, and one blew up after two weeks.

I plan to order few more, but I would like to know what I'm putting myself into. I cannot afford many more incidents like this, because SWMBO's current attitude regarding home automation is not very positive at the moment.

I have UPS installed in my node 0. I noticed that 50% of the time (maybe even more), it cuts voltage, so voltage must be higher than normal. I don't know if that can be related.

Nik
