Don't see why not but if you have to run a new cable anyway why not run two
(or even better four or more)?
I thought I was being really clever when I ran four runs to the study and
it's just not enough.

Hi,
I need to reroute my ADSL connection as I'm moving it downstairs to the
study.
Now, I've checked the ADSL box that BT give you (not the Master socket
one) it only uses 2 of 8 cables within the Cat 5 cable. Am I right in
thinking that if I run a Cat 5 cable from the Master Socket to the
study, I can run the ADSL line over 2 of the cables AND using 3 of the
remaining 6 cables, I could connect a phone line too?
Just want to check I'm not going mad before I lay the cable.
Thanks,
Gerard
