I'd be surprised if it didn't have _some_ kind of security features built
in.

If not, you could always get a Draytek Vigour (ohhh - contentious on this
list!!!) or a Zyxel or similar that will do port redirections etc

If you go for another pc, any old crap will do - just bung linux on it
&
spend a few weeks trying to configure & away you go.....
