Re: External 12V PIR needed

The Elite is a different beast to the Opal, as well as connecting to the inside controller it also has relay contacts so can be used standalone or to provide local switching of other item such as CCTV.

I have the GJD Elites not sure if they are different to your Opals but I find them very good and they dont look too obtrusive.

They have a brown casing and head on are circular white obsured plastic.

They are quite pricey if I recall but very reliable and robust.

IMHO PIRs that are visible are a good deterent as well.

I need 3 or 4 external 12V PIR's (pref tamper protected) that work
well in sunlight etc. They've got to be dark brown or black and be
small as possible. I've got a GJD Opal (or something similar) but
it's too big and obtrusive (although I've not tried it out yet).

Any thoughts/suppliers in UK?

Ta,

Paul.
