I'll defintely have to try this one out. Thanks for the excelent
suggestion.
On a related note, I noticed that another of my friends had a mains
socket with only one side of the ring wired up, the other side had
broken off. This would mean the whole ring is then only fed by one
half of the wiring. I presume you could do the same sort of check
by breaking the ring at a socket (MAINS OFF FIRST) and then measuring
the resistence between the two cables.
Does anyone know of a good DIY electrical wiring health check you
could perform?
