Guys without seeming like a nasty bar-steward, is there a way in the UK to
object to a patent being issued?

These guys have applied for a Patent for what is basically just the Kitchen
PC I am sure many of us, and many US people have been using for years.
(my first home server lived in the kitchen, 4 years ago!)

I seem to remember there being a "prior art" clause in patents?

Ian.

As seen on uk.tech.home-automation

Looks remarkably similar to what several of us here will be achieving with
Fuji and Barcode scanners for under a couple of hundred quid. I bet it
costs
slightly more :-)
