Been there ... Had to do that only last week!

When I registered with egroups originally my username was my email
address ... However yahoo changed it when they took over. There *SHOULD*
be no reason not to allow you to use your email address as your
username!

It took *TEN HOURS* for me to receive my confirmation email. (Actually
"emails" as I had clicked "send me a confirmation
email" several times!)
