Re: Day wasted: Help needed please



Do you have Easy CD Creator or do you have a working copy of  Linux that
supports the cdrecord command?

CD's are created in a variety of standard image formats and .iso is one of
them. The ISO format is a format which should be readable by ANY cd reader
even using DOS and so is THE standard format. Unfortunately NERO recognises
these with a different file extension .nri although having just tried it on
a powerpc iso file it didn't recognise the file.

I have successfully managed to create ISO images under Linux using the
command line cdrecord command and I have also done it ok using easy cd
creator but my current setup is struggling for some reason so the linux
route is the only one I have.

I haven't looked at the smoothwall page for some time, it might be possible
to download the boot disks and the smoothwall.tgz file which will then
allow
you to install via network.
