What is the furtherest distance that anybody has extended a USB
connection, and how did you do it?
I'm not intersted in the theory. Reason in my interest is that a nearby
BT line took a lightning strike and amongst other things it fried our
Home Highway box :-( BT have now changed that to a new box which has a
USB connection as well as the two digital connections. Whilst I dont
plan to change the way I've got my own PCs connected I could exploit the
USB connection for the laptop I occasionally dial into work with (not on
my LAN). This would save me using one of the analogs for it. Only
trouble is ... ideally it would need to be between 30 and 40 ft way from
the HH box.

regards, robin
