Hi all
I have been offered an unbranded server with the following spec...
Dual P3 Xeon 550 512k cache
512MB RAM
Mylex raid
12/24GB DAT
4 x 9GB raided SCSI HDD
Redundant PSU (3 PSU's)
Unfortunately it isnt rackmount but decent rackmount servers are like gold
dust right now.
Just wondering if anyone has a view on the pros and cons of this and what
it
might be worth?
In particular I am wondering if it is likely to go boom and be impossible
to
get parts for.
Main use will be as a backend database engine and email/webserver.
All comments appreciated
