Hi

What I did with Readerware was to=20

load the ISBN's in
use Amazon UK to find them - now that would not find them all=20
Use same list to search Amazon US or any other sites.
Readerware will not load tha same book twice so all is OK

Hope this helps

Ben

I would be interested in a couple of these, but only if there is any
easy way of getting them to work with a PC..

Most barcode readers don't need any special software, as they connect
between the keyboard and the pc, the cheapest of these that I have found
in the UK are here:

http://www.barcodereaders.com/barcodereader/Default.html
but they are
60+vat...

I did have success with the Readerware software last night, it seems to
work well, but it can take some time to search the web for the ISBN, but
it does allow them to be batched up, the only issue with this that I can
see is when it doesn't recognise one, you are then left to trace which
book it didn't recognise!! - so performing these in small batches seems
to be the answer.

Paul,

If you read previous messages there are a number of possible software
solutions, I supsect that most people will roll their own solution.

One thing to note is that the RS232 is TTL level, so a convertor will be
required, to get true RS232, however this is fairly simple to do, and
I'm already looking at a solution.
