OT:Supporting
parents (was TiVo-ise your PC)
I do about three or four a year (which
is
why MS pointed me in the direction of the Partner Action Pack). The best
question I get comes from my 75 year old Dad about once every three or four
weeks. He uses Act and Word, and I set up two icons in the quick launch bar
for
him. Every so often he accidentally knocks the Alt key and when he clicks
on
the icon it brings up the shortcut properties.
Every time he calls me it is if it has
never happened before!
My brother thinks we should get him on
the
‘net – he’s not the one has to spend hours on the phone
when
it goes wrong. Needless to say I am resisting!
Tim.
