The UKHA group is of course the best :-)

The groups are differentiated by, among other things, what they are prepare= d to discuss. Here's "our" charter:

"For UK users of the TiVo.

Information about things like extraction of Video streams from TiVo to PC, = or setting up one's own EPG are acceptable.

Likewise, information about hardware upgrades (such as fitting bigger hard = disks, more RAM, or network cards) is welcomed here.

Information about hacking the TiVo to allow access to TiVo-provided EPG inf= ormation without a valid subscription is not acceptable. Anyone posting or = requesting such will be kicked out."


Obviously, users in our group are likely to be more interested in the home = networking and home automation applications of TiVo, and will probably be f= airly IT-literate.

BTW, looking for the obligatory Tivo yahoo group, there are loads - TiVo UK=
and UKHA TiVo being the two that immediately spring to mind.
I presume the latter of the two is the 'best' one to go for, (same old face= s
I suspect!) but is there any use in joining the others?
I will undoubtedly be looking to hack the thing as much as possible once I've got it up and running (once it arrive and SWMBO calms down of course)!=
