As I understand it...

AMP+---(8OHM)---AMP-

is *EXACTLY* equivelant in impedance terms to:

AMP+-(--(8OHM)---(8OHM)--)-AMP-
     (--(8OHM)---(8OHM)--)

(as the serial speakers have an effective impedace of 16 ohms, but
adding
these pairs in parallel brings the effective impedance back down to 8
ohms)

the difference, of course, is that you have higher power losses through
the
four speaker matrix, but this is TTS: mega volume is not the order of
the
day anyway..

        I Agree simple is best but how
do you connect 8 speakers to 1 source
without loading the amp?
