TM13U failures

I have recently had a failure with a TM13U RF module.
The module was replaced and has now failed again for a
second time.  Has anyone had this kind of problem with
these modules?  The 1st module that broke had an
appliance connected to it, but it was permenantly ON
and therefore the (A1 code) X10 functionality of the
product was hardly ever used.  Since the original
failure, and as I rely heavily on RF to X10
translation in my home, I've just left the TM13U
module on its own without connecting anything to it
and without using the A1 code at all.  i.e. all the
thing does is relay RF to X10 signals.  I have had no
other X10 problems in my home with a variety of
different modules. The 1st replacement has lasted
about 8 weeks.  I only live in a 2up 2down and there's
nothing special about the UK mains supply.
Anyone give me any ideas as to where the problems
might be? or any alternatives?

Cheers for any help,

Bazza.
