I think the point is that you decide to do something at an acceptable
risk
to yourself.
If you are not prepared to accept the risk, then simply don't do it!

I took the risk with the memory buy that ppl would change their minds
and
I'd be left with (potentially) 80 odd memory modules and 80 odd stylii.

With the US audiotron buy, I was (for a small fee granted) taking the
risk
that I would damage one or more of the audiotrons and have to replace it
out
of my own pocket.  A couple of these and I would have definitely been
out of
pocket.
