Well we have found a solution. Neither of us uses the answerphone remotely! You can actually divert individual MSNs (and the door entry phone too) to external numbers (using BTs customer controlled call forwarding option), which is what I tend to do when I’m going to be away from home and need to remain in contact. The other option is just to learn the function of each key. At a push I could probably work out a translation, but as I’ve said, it is a function I never use. In fact you have to turn it on from the base station (remote access), and mine has stayed off since day 1. I tend only to use the answerphone when I’m on the other line and someone rings in who I don’t need to speak to urgently. For 2 hundred quid including a Diverse 4000 executive handset, I think it is pretty good value!

Do I remember correctly that someone had problems with the remote
dial-in for the 4175 in that the voice menu was in German? Is this
the case and did anyone find a solution?
