One's a line level input, and the other is a lower level input. The
phono
input will have a pre-amp connected to it before it goes into the main
amplifier. This is all internal. Suffice to say that you should
only
connect a record deck to a phono input.
Of course, this is taking phono to mean the name of the input, and most
probably the label next to it, rather than meaning the name of the
connectors. Confusingly, the connectors are called phono connectors,
and
the input used for record decks is called a phono input. Two
different
meanings.
