Specifically, the issue that it just doesn't work :-(

It worked a bit when the machine was win2k then upgraded to XP, but would
cut out after about 10 minutes.
Since the machine was rebuilt as a clean XP install to solve various other
issues, it does not work at all, and trying the Win2k USB drivers trick
results in  the blue screen of death as soon as the software (dabbar,
windab, psions effort - you name it) tries to access the thing.

Apart from that, it's fine :)
