RE: RF interference

Mark,

I've no objections to trying it, I just think it's an amplification issue
rather than cross channel interference.
You seemed to be suggesting that the tivo RF output channel was too close to
C5 etc and that was the cause of the problem.
It seemed to me logically that if I move the Tivo RF channel around and the
interference is still present on the same channels as before, then it is not
the RF channel that is the problem!

Just coz I don't think it is the problem, doesn't mean I'm not willing to
have a go anyway.
After saying the sie was down, I managed to get in this morning after all.
I plugged in all the channels I'm using, (except the video because I'm still
hoping someone can tell me what channel 627Mhz is.  Definitely > 37 though
coz that's the lowest the video goes), and the only interference I would
have is the Tivo and ITV on Digital terrestrial - but given that the OnDogy
box is not in this particular chain (yet) then it is a non issue.
It's possible the video is interfering with C5 or Sky, but that being the
case, I would not expect the situation to deteriorate further by adding in
the Tivo.
This lends further credence to my thoughts that the signals are just being
amplified to hell by all the devices in the chain and I need to attenuate at
one or more points.......

cheers,

Tony
