Hi there,

Forgive the off topic but maybe some selfbuilders out there might be able to give me a quick answer.

I've got some bitumen coated stirling board which I've used to create a sealed corridor between my house and some outbuildings.  I've used pressure treated stud partitions and its very very stable.  I'm now at a loss as to the finish to put on it, so thinking about just rendering(?) it to give what I think the americans call a stucco finish..  I'd whitewash the result.

So my question is, what stuff do I put on the wall, what type of plaster/concrete/cement etc should I use, and how should I key(?) it to the board?  Should I nail wall ties to it or nail some chicken wire thingy to it before plastering?

Thanks..

Matthew

PS the automated floodlights will be attached to this wall!  (clutching straws to bring it slightly back on topic...)
