Yup...

Bridging is the term for joining two IP networks on the SAME subnet.
Routing is the term of joining two IP networks on DIFFERENT subnets.

A pair of Linksys WAP11s will work, but be VERY expensive compared to 12' of ethernet :-)

So for example my Tivo I want to give it an ip address on my 192.168.0.x
segment, would briding work for this?

Personally, I setup mine by USB, and haven't needed to touch them since.
