I know
this is an old topic..
But I
spoke
to someone @ this company yesterday – and they are selling
256mb’s for £26 +
vat (so I was told)
I
don’t work
for them..so its not a plug.. just my thoughts on getting cheaper
stuff:
www.insight.com - and then go to the
UK..
and look for ram.

Some motherboards don't like 512Mb DIMMs. If I've interpreted
your
sentence above correctly you're talking about sticking a 512Mb
DIMM
in, in place of 2 x 256.
I remember looking on Crucial for some memory upgrades for my
main
Home Server and when I selected the m/b type it didn't allow me
to
select a 512Mb module. This was a board of some vintage however
(3
years or so old).
