Re: ot Pathetic Service BT

Gents,

You dont know when your lucky really do you ? I've been sitting here for
months listening to people talk about ADSL, cablemodems, and correct me if
I'm wrong, but, things seem to be moving fast in the price direction also
(i.e its relativley cheaper now than a couple of months ago in the uk).

Compare it to my situation, ADSL launced in Ireland about 6-8 weeks ago.
Available initially in some Dublin suburbs, so I can pretty much forget it
ever moving down the country. And wait for it, a residential user, who
happens to be fortunate enough to live near enough to one of their enabled
exchanges (if there is more than one), gets all this for the lovely sum of
107 quid per month (512k I think, and okay, its in euros, but its still
about 90 quid a month!!!)

And absolutley no other alternatives available to the best of my
knowledge.. Hi speed to me is if my dial up manages to get anywhere near
28k.

Count yourselves lucky!!

Eamon

I'll add to that, the BT engineers who've been here are always excellent,
it's
the drones on the phones that are crap.

I once (and only once) had a BT engineer turn down a free brew!!!

Do I win £5?
