RE: NEWS - BT HomeNet

Ahhh!!!
the thought of letting a BT engineer cable up my home...................... :-) (No offence Keith!!)

But they have to do the job quickly, and that means tacking cables everywhere.... (surface mount Cat5 could be a design statement I suppose!!)

Or does this mean that BT has Licensed Kat5 and Keith's Jury service is just a cover up?!! (he's now on a beach sipping cocktails
:-)

BT HomeNet

Thanks to Scott Crowther for this one...

"The way we use our homes is changing. Inside the front door, we are
surrounded by ever more electronic appliances - PCs, modems, TVs, video
recorders, set-top boxes, telephones and so on. But wouldn't it be great if
we could all use the appliances we wanted, when we wanted, anywhere in the
house?

BT can help you do this, connecting your home completely and helping you
make your home fit around you, not the other way around.

At the heart of our vision for the Digital Home is BT HomeNet - a home
network that lets you choose how you distribute and access telephone,
computing and entertainment services around the house. No longer are you
restricted to getting online where your Internet connection is, watching a
video where your video recorder is or listening to a CD where your hi-fi is.
Instead, BT's home network gives you the freedom to put those services
anywhere you want them.

But that's merely the beginning. BT's home network will ensure your home is
ready for the future, allowing you to add home security systems, control
your home while at work and much more..."
