Hi John,

Pocket PC development can be done in either Microsoft Visual C++ or Visual
Basic. Best to stick to C++ as I have heard that the Visual Basic stuff is
not too good for Pocket PC development, althought I could be proved wrong.
The software is free for download from the Microsoft website. It is rather
large at 300Mb but you can also order on CD for a small postal charge.

The Pocket PC 2002 SDK is still in Beta and can also be downloaded and is
approx 47Mb in size.

So the answer to you question is, it is almost free....!!! Not bad for
Microsoft really.
