Primoz,

Basically your assumption is correct AFAIK.

A friend of mine had to use a SCART Splitter as well for DVD and Video
and has the same problem; it's the box that's the problem. I don't know
if this will help but you can get one for balanced output at
www.rgbtosvideo.com from John Sim but I do not know if it works the
other way, i.e. to give two inputs. But John's a nice guy and can
probably help you far better than I can.
