ISDN, if you dual bond is 128k.  On a single channel, it is 64k.
Might not seem a lot, but fast enough for web browsing.  Crap for file
d/l (though better than a modem!).

Try cable modem if you can - shite customer service from both NTL &
Telewest, but when you're up and running, it's fast, cheap, and if
you're an online gaming freak, gives lower pings than ADSL......

NTL are trialling wireless cable modem services at present - may be an
option if you can wait.

Or there are various satellite based services that are quick but not
cheap..
