It can sometimes lead to faint transmission  or occasionally cause Ring Trip but other than that no problem.
 
You say it works OK so dont worry

Keith,

You are correct. I have just checked my adapters and they do have
capacitors (We had some spare ones at work). Is this likely to cause
me any problems?
