Sorry mate, I really don't know what happened it just worked! I tried it
repeatedly that night I upgraded the server, tried it the next night and
the night after that and eventually reached the "sod this cr4p"
conclusion!

I switched on the DDAR last night and pressed the Vol. by mistake and it
changed, despite being on the line level out so I thought I'd check the
rest and it all worked great.

In saying that, I do vaguely remember mucking about with some of the
advanced options in IE6, but I can't remember what I did :-(
