Ah, Sydney 2000.
At the time of Sydney 2000, I worked for the BP/Bovis Alliance. (A joint
venture that built the petrols stations for BP across 19 countries.)
The Bovis part had just been taken over by Lend Lease - Australia's
largest property developers, and the company who own/built Bluewater.
A mate of mine was the Marketing Director for Bovis Europe, and went on
holiday to New Zealand. The MD said - call in to Lend Lease Head Office
(Sydney) on the way back and meet them, so he did...
.... and they took him out that weekend on the company...
.... to the Olympics Closing Ceremony.
Turns out Lend Lease were the developers for the Olympic Village, and
had a large hospitality section.
Bastard!!!!

I can't take the credit for it. It is one of the selling points used on
the Clipsal web-site. As CBus is scalable and is primarily designed to
be used in large buildings where the lighting is on all day (it ran the
buildings at Sydney 2000), the cost savings over the course of a year
where lighting is dimmed to take account of ambient conditions must be
huge.

Tim,
You are a total genius. That's EXACTLY what I need in some of my rooms.
Your description of what the lighting should do is a complete
"Duh!"
experience - I can't believe I didn't think of it.
Regards,
Mark
