First, a merry Christmas to all from a (virgin poster) newbie to HA!!!

A little about me by way of an intro. . . .

I live in Guildford, Surrey, married with 2 young kids, there just ain't
enough hours in the day!

I work as a controls engineer with the UK's leading BMS (Building Management
Systems) kit. I worked for the manufacturer (Trend Controls) for 10 years
and now work for one of their distributors. So, when it comes to HVAC
control, I think I may be able to offer advice . . .

But

As far as other HA topics go, I really am a Newbie.

I'm looking at the TiVo gismo but remember reading somewhere that it's
discontinued. They are available S/H on eBay and Dixons have a few
refurbished units too. However, I thought it needed some kind of
subscription, so my questions are:-

Are they still being manufactured (could read as 'sold new in the UK')?
If they aren't, is the subscription service still operating?
How much are they worth 2nd hand.

Finally, I know Dixons are not always that cheap but they are doing 10% off
for web orders on Xmas day - May be worth a look??

TIA

Regards

Neil
