I am intending replacing my hifi in the living room (lounge for posh people= )( Kenwood seperates) with a new system and am open to ideas.

I would like  it to play dvd, cd, mp3 radio etc. I have looked at some= of the micro stereos which play dvd at about =A3500-=A3650 and I am not fu= lly convinced......

I am not a sound buff so very top of the range is not necessary.

I am considering putting a pc with tft and radio keyboard and mouse mounted= on the wall (shuttle or similar) instead of a dedicated stereo system and = was wondering if anyone has ideas. It must be silent as my wife plays music= quietly (unlike me) and notices background noise.

I'm open to suggestions but very much restricted by swmbo's say so......:-(=

Any suggestions, please let me know...

thanks
Campbell
