When talking about micros e.g. PIC etc. the bottom end devices which we
may
want to use as they are cheap have little memory. Typically the units I
use
have 2k for program and 127 BYTES of RAM. This of course varies depending
on
model etc. but the bigger = more expensive analogy is true here.
Bearing in mind some of this RAM will be taken with program variables
it
does not leave a lot of space to store the inbound string or manipulate
it.
For low end micros which I like to use XML is just too bloated.
