Yup...
There are two types of plugin:
- An INPUT plugin broadcasts information
(so, you could say that it converts from HV's format to the open xAP
format)
- An OUTPUT plugin displays information
(so, you could say that it converts from xAP format to human-readable
according to some local rules)
Actually - there's a third type of plugin which combines both... the
obvious example is a "Bridge" which sends local xAP messages to
another "Bridge" on the other side of the Internet... this means
that when I'm at work, I can see the xAP messages coming in at home.
